MINUTES OF THE MEETING
The minutes of the meeting held on 10th April 2006 were read and signed as correct.
MATTERS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES
Playground
The Playground will require a safety check this autumn. It was agreed that this is most important. Helen to arrange with EHDC? Or RoSPA. Was the check carried out last year?
Village Sign.
It was agreed that this will not require moving. John is looking into whether the plinth should be brick or stone. Brick was favoured.
Gardens Open. A letter of thanks should be sent to Neville Hudson for the cheque for £1000 towards village maintenance. VAT must be reclaimed. Michael to speak to Gwen.
Dog Fouling and Litter: It was agreed a larger bin is required for the bus shelter. Helen has already agreed to look into this. The dog fouling signs have ‘disappeared’. New signs are required.
PLANNING APPLICATIONS/GRANTS/REFUSALS
Applications
Bayfordbury House Conversion to 5 Separate Homes
Everyone was very pleased with the application for conversion of Bayfordbury.
FINANCE
Cheque TBI. None since Helen absent.
ANY OTHER BUSINESS
Roads. Holes have been filled, resurfacing to be done.
Rose Triangle: Cllr Callaby asked who owns the rose triangle. Cllr Wainwright to look at the plans.
Cllr Rowley: Disappointing that few members of the public attend meeting. He suggest e-mailing as many people as possible. Katie Neilsen has quite a few e-mail addresses. Possible a flier might also be required Chairman to find out how many people read the Parish Magazine.
George has responsibility as a governor for the ponds adjacent to the School. Alan agrred to forward some telephone numbers of organisations who might help with cleaning the ponds.
Broad Green: Concern about porch being built at No 2? Letter to Planning Dept.
The meeting was closed at 8:45pm. The Chairman thanked those present for attending.
