ITEM MINUTE ACTION
1.0 Apologies for Absence.
2.0 David Sitwell: Update from Bayford Action Group.
2.1 After consulting the solicitor to BAG, the following summarizes the situation: The original proposal was that East Herts would have to provide fifteen pitches by 2011, the Panel examining the Regional Plan recommended that that should be increased to twenty pitches; the Government, when considering the Panel’s recommendations, increased the future once again from twenty to twenty-five pitches. Thus, what started out as a proposal for fifteen pitches has ended up as a proposal for twenty-five. The District Council will continue to challenge that, but that is the current state of play. In the meantime, the Council will have to make provision for twenty-five pitches in its local development framework. If any Planning Permissions are granted in the meantime then the number of pitches granted Planning Permission will be taken off the future of twenty-five. What you will need to do is follow the progress of the local development framework to ensure that there is no proposal to allocate land in Bayford.
3.0 Introduction by Chairman.
3.1 Cut Your Carbon. A talk by Herbert Dzapata from CDA for Herts.
4.0 AOB.
4.1 Robert Wilson Stephens stated that the the PCC AGM was being held tonight and that this was unsatisfactory given that there are only 5 or 6 meeting per year. The Chairman explained that due to the school being closed, the meeting had to be moved at short notice and promised to notify the clerk to the PCC of proposed dates for PC meetings for the next year, in the next few days in an attempt to avoid clashes next year.
5.0 Next meeting.
5.2 Due to the circumstances explained elsewhere the next meeting will be help on the 11th May, and not as before advertised.
